How To Get The Most Out Of Your Dax Moy Personal Training Studios Coach

Now that you’re ready to commit
to coaching there are a few important things you might want to know in order to
get the most out of your sessions with your coach and, ultimately, achieve your
goals faster and with less fuss and having more fun along the way:
Be Clear Why You’re Here
If you know what it is you want to
accomplish from working with your coach both in the long term and in during
each individual coaching session you will get much, much more from the
experience.
Know in advance what you want from us so
that we know how to best coach you and you’ll achieve your goals far faster.
Let Your ‘Yes’ Mean Yes
Your coaches have all been trained to
challenge and stretch you in ways that you may not be used to. They will make a
lot of requests of you. If you say “yes” and agree to do something then do it.
If you’re uncertain about whether you want
to commit to a course of action recommended by your coach then tell them ‘no’ there
and then rather than agreeing and not doing it. They can then find ‘the third
way’ and keep you on track.
Coaching only works when commitments are
kept. Remember, they’re commitments to yourself more than your coach.
Be Willing To Stretch Yourself
You’ve probably heard that old saying “if you keep doing what you’ve always done,
you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got” haven’t you?
It’s true.
That’s why your coach will ask you to do
things differently. You’ll be asked to change your diet, your lifestyle and
even your thinking as you begin working toward your new goal.
It won’t all be easy, but it’ll be much
easier if you’re open to the process of discovering what works best for you
rather than clinging to your old ways of doing things.
To be blunt, what you’ve been doing up to
now hasn’t been working. If it were then you wouldn’t need a coach. Be willing
to try something new and it’ll pay dividends in no time.
Give Your Coach A Workout
Challenge your coach by asking for more.
Tell them what’s working for you and what’s not and how they can coach you
better.
You didn’t tap into Google “Wanted: Personal Trainer to chat with for 1
hour a couple of times a week… Results not particularly necessary” Did you?
You had a specific goal or set of goals in mind and it’s your coach’s job to
help you achieve them.
So challenge them.
Every coach is an expert at what they do
but only you are an expert in YOU!
Teach them what they need to know to make
you feel great about being coached and don’t rely on telepathy… we’ve not found
that to be particularly effective yet : )
Play The Game With Winning In Mind
Turn up well in time for all your coaching
sessions, carry out all homework as agreed, pay your coach ahead of time and
make your goal a priority in your life for the duration of your coaching.
If you don’t feel you can do this right
now then maybe you’re not ready for coaching. Save your money and come back to
it when you’re ready to play the game with winning in mind.
We’ve found that clients who
have really thought through their commitment to both their goal and the
coaching process to achieve it are more likely to have an easier time of things
than those who ‘jump into’ coaching without really thinking about it.
Once more, our purpose and
passion in coaching is to help you win and we certainly won’t take part in any
process that makes you a loser in any way.
We expect the same mindset from
you : )
